Just to say I especially enjoyed the contribution from Alain Borer, at least now I know what “Speak White” means. Just a thought about the FR ID cards now being also in English, the card is also an international card as it can be used like a passport in EU countries. Is not your French passport in both languages – well mine is & I &am sure yours is? Note that you could not have that same discussion in the UK because they do not have ID cards. God forbid they would be a violation against civil liberty.
